Paramount Skydance Will Eliminate Nearly 2,000 US Jobs – News
Paramount Skydance is scheduled to begin large-scale job cuts the week of 27 October, removing approximately 2,000 positions in the United States under a cost-cutting plan valued at $2bn under CEO David Ellison.
The workforce reduction follow the combination of Skydance Media and Paramount Global, completed during August valued at $8.4bn.
More global layoffs are expected, with the company intending to reveal full details in its third quarter earnings report on 10 November.
Earlier reports stated the firm aimed to reduce from 2,000 and 3,000 positions before the start of November.
Until December 2024, the company retained nearly 18,600 workers on full-time and part-time contracts and 3,500 temporary project employees.
The organization has not provided a response on the matter.
