Writing on Instagram, actor Cary Elwes, who rose to fame in Reiner's 1987 classic *The Princess Bride*, explained he finally felt ready to post publicly about his personal sorrow.

"Enough time has elapsed that I can now put my grief into words," wrote Elwes, saying that his first meeting with Reiner left him smitten. "As we began spending more time together I realized this was someone I desired in my life."

The actor shared behind-the-scenes footage from the production, adding that he cannot recall "a single day without laughter".

"The movie is about love, loyalty and sacrifice. Principles that Rob held dear. That is part of the many reasons he was the perfect person to helm it," Elwes wrote.

He additionally honored Michele Reiner, saying: "To say that they were a great team would be an understatement. My heart still pangs every time I remember you." He ended with a phrase from *The Princess Bride*: "Indeed, death cannot stop true love but life is pain without you."

Martin Scorsese Remembers a Fellow Artist

In a distinct tribute, acclaimed director Martin Scorsese shared memories of Reiner, whom he originally knew in the 1970s.

"Right away, I loved being with Rob. We had a innate rapport for each other. He was uproarious and sometimes sharply witty, but he was never the kind of guy who would take over the room," Scorsese shared.

Scorsese mentioned Reiner's supporting role in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, portraying the father of the lead role.

"He could improvise with the best. He was a virtuoso at comedy, he worked wonderfully with his co-stars, and he understood the human predicament of his character," Scorsese wrote.

Court Proceedings: Autopsy Reports Sealed

In a new development, a Los Angeles judge ruled to prevent the publication of the Reiners' medical examiner's reports, following a petition from the LAPD.

A judicial mandate placed a restriction on the files to prohibit the public release of "related notes, documents, files or images" connected to the active case.

The coroner's office had already determined their deaths were the result of murder, with a official listing citing the cause as "injuries from a sharp object".
