1. Top Talent Palmer Available for Important Capital Clash with The Gunners

The Blues head coach Enzo Maresca announced on Friday that Cole Palmer is ready to play for the squad's significant Premier League encounter against London rivals Arsenal.

The 23-year-old English midfielder was unavailable due to a fractured toe suffered after an unfortunate occurrence.

“He is ready to start and participate,” Maresca declared. “Everyone is happy.”

This season, Palmer has featured in just four games across all competitions, netting two goals.

After joining from Manchester City in 2023, he has recorded 45 goals and 29 assists in 101 games for the London club.

The Merseyside club were unsuccessful in their appeal against Idrissa Gueye's red card for an on-field altercation with teammate Michael Keane during the squad's narrow win at Old Trafford.

The veteran Senegal midfielder was sent off only 13 minutes into the contest after striking Keane amid a disagreement over a poor pass.

The player quickly said sorry, and the pair were seen reconciled later in a mock social media post.

However, the challenge against the dismissal was rejected, and Gueye must complete a three-game suspension, making Everton short-staffed for their upcoming match against Newcastle United.

“We challenged the decision and it was rejected,” coach David Moyes revealed. “We haven’t been given any reason why it was turned down but we did appeal it.”

When asked about any further fallout from the incident, Moyes added: “The matter was resolved instantly, it was done, that was it, we progressed swiftly and it was all sorted within the team environment.”
