Chopper Spirals Uncontrollably into Palm Fronds at Frequented California Coast
A helicopter hovering near a well-attended California coastline abruptly began spiraling wildly, ultimately dropping height and plunging into a row of palm groves as beachgoers observed.
Recordings posted on social media show the helicopter starting to spin near Huntington Beach then falling in the direction of the border of the beach, where it ends up lodged among palm groves and a steps near the Pacific Coast highway.
Rescue Operation Information
Emergency responders reported five persons were transported to a medical facility including two individuals who were in the helicopter and were “safely pulled from the wreckage” subsequent to the incident on that day.
Three individuals on the street were harmed. Information on their injuries were not yet released.
The cause of the crash was still under investigation.
