Chalobah Expected to Take Over from Marc Guehi in Three Lions Squad
The Chelsea star followed his brother Nathaniel in playing for England, becoming the twenty-first pair of brothers to earn caps for the England side.
Trevoh Chalobah is expected to be added to the Three Lions selection to replace unavailable Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi.
The 26-year-old footballer is set to link up with the squad for England's last World Cup qualifiers against Albania and Serbia, but it has yet to be officially announced.
The national side have already booked their place for next summer's World Cup.
Chalobah earned his initial selection under England manager Thomas Tuchel in the month of May and then made his debut against the Senegalese team.
In the month of September, Tuchel stated Chalobah was unlucky to be left out from the squad for qualifying games against Serbia and Andorra, and additionally did not select him for the next October fixtures.
Tuchel has been an important figure in Chalobah's career, having handed him his Chelsea debut in 2021.
Chalobah has played in nearly all games for Chelsea this season, with the club in third place in the Premier League, in the Carabao Cup last eight and in the group stage of the European competition.
Guehi suffered a foot problem in Crystal Palace's Europa Conference League win over AZ Alkmaar last week.
There are set to be other additions to the selection. Newcastle boss Eddie Howe has confirmed that both attacker Anthony Gordon (hip) and shot-stopper Nick Pope (a concussion) will be unavailable from the England setup.
