Barça Ready for Inaugural Game at Renovated Camp Nou on Saturday

The club confirmed they are set to host at the still-under-construction Camp Nou over the weekend. The club will host the Basque side in La Liga 30 months since relocating to allow renovations to start.

“We’ve dreamed about the return. Now, it’s here. We’re back home. Back at Spotify Camp Nou.”

The stadium will not be at full capacity with 45,401 fans will be allowed to watch as per the current authorization. When completed, it will accommodate close to 105,000 fans, increasing from the former 99,000. Officials confirmed completed upgrades featured a new players’ tunnel along with upgraded changing facilities.

Preparatory Events

The club conducted a public practice on the home pitch earlier this month. Officials stated they were hoping for permission from European football’s governing body for their upcoming Champions League fixture versus the German side in December at the stadium. Previous fixtures took place at the Olympic Stadium.
