Air travel have restarted at Scotland's primary international airport after a major ATC system failure halted all operations.
All incoming and outgoing flights were stopped because of an IT issue that was reported at approximately 08:30.
Several flyers were left waiting in jets at the stand during the disruption.
Flights Resume with Residual Impact
A statement indicated at 10:40 that operations had restarted, and thanked passengers for their "understanding and cooperation".
Nonetheless, significant disruption are likely to affect schedules. Flights to key destinations like Amsterdam, Frankfurt, London, and Bristol have been called off, with numerous other services subject to postponements.
Officials had previously estimated that dozens of flights could be impacted.
"Passengers are advised to check directly with their airline for the most up-to-date details on their specific flights," officials reiterated.
Cause of the Chaos
The problem was traced to the operational halt to an technical fault with its control tower systems vendor.
Passengers should still plan to check the status of their journey before traveling to the airport as residual delays are cleared.
